Sapiranga Reserve
The ecological tracks on Sapiranga Reserve take the tourists who like to go trekking through real tree tunnels, discovering on the way an incredible variety of orchids, wild bromeliads, birds, little monkeys, butterflies, and not rarely, a coati, a sloth, a three band armadillo.
Timeantube Lagoon
The lagoon is an enormous birds’ reserve formed by River Timeantube water dam. Around 300 different kinds of birds’ species have been catalogued in this area. There are two leisure options here: to exercise by rowing a kayak or bird-watch on a motor boat.
To go trekking through dunes
There is a great chain of dunes only 5 km far from the Fishermen’s Village with its typical vegetation and animals. It is the place where you can walk and bathe in the lagoons formed by its depressions.
‘Quadri-cycle’ ride until Aruá Lagoon
The ride takes one hour and a half. It is 15 km (round trip) through a track inside Sapiranga Reserve. The destination is a swim in Aruá Lagoon.
Horse riding
Some ecological rides at Praia do Forte can be taken by horse.
Pojuca River white-waters
This river strong white-waters form real natural Jacuzzi baths. After going trekking through the forest, one can find strong white-waters snatching and carving the local stones.
